Curb Mount (VCM/OVCM)

The preferred skylight mount for any type of roof, primarily for use on tile, shingle or wood shakes. Recommended by roofing professionals as the optimum choice for long lasting, trouble free installation.

This type of skylight can be installed on all types of site built curbs, whether pre-existing or new. For additional weathertightness, ensure you use roofing membrane in addition to flashing system on the curb.

For typical residential application Vinyl Curb Mount (VCM / OVCM) are utilized for skylights less than 5’ x 5’ and aluminum thermally broken curb mount (ATCM) for larger models. Commercial applications typically utilize the aluminum thermally broken outside fastening (AOF) skylight.

Self Flashing (VSF/OVSF)

Ready to mount with their own mounting base, these skylights area easy to install on any composition, shingle, or shake roof. Wooden curb and aluminum flashing are not required.

The self flashing model offers the lowest profile of the Columbia skylight range and compliments your roofline.

For additional weathertightness, ensure you use roofing membrane in addition to roofing mastic beneath the vinyl flashing flange.

Columbia offers the industry’s most complete selection of self flashing skylights which are available in a wide range of fixed and venting (manual or electric) models. Columbia will also supply any size (standard or custom) from 14.5” x 14.5” to 54.5” x 54.5”, in any glass or acrylic glazing option.

For easy to install residential applications vinyl self flashing (VSF / OVSF) are utilized for skylights less than 5’ x 5’. It is recommended that larger openings utilize the thermally broken curb mounted.

Self flashing models must be installed on minimum 3:12 roof pitch.

Wood Deck Mount (CFS/CVS)

This premium skylight product provides a built in Douglas Fir wood curband is available venting or fixed in a wide range of sizes and glazing options. Custom flashing kits for each size are required.

For additional weather tightness, ensure you use Roofing Underlayment in addition to Columbia Flashing System.

Columbia offers the industry’s most complete selection of Wood Deck Mount Skylights which are available in a wide range of fixed and venting (manual or electric) models. In addition to our standard sizes and glazing options, any size with any type of glass, can be manufactured. For instance Columbia will manufacture a Wood Deck Mount, with a rough opening dimension 32” x 43” with green glass.

Curb Mount Pyramids (VCM-P)

Aesthetically pleasing pyramids create interesting effects, beautiful reflections, and patterns of light that add drama to your inner and outer décor. Provides your home with distinctive architectural flare. This skylight can be installed on flat or sloped roofs.

The four surfaces of the pyramid slope upwards at an equal angle, of approximately 30 degrees, to a central point. There are no structural framing members other than the base.

Rigid Sun Tubes (RST)

Source of natural lighting where regular skylights can’t be installed. Quick, simple installation for any shingle or shake roof. Ideal for interior rooms, closets and bathrooms. Available in sloped and flat roof models. Elbows and tube extensions are available. Columbia Sun Tubes are available in three different sizes. Columbia’s Rigid Sun Tube skylight provides a tunnel that is highly reflective and maximizes the illumination in your room below. As rays of light bounce or bend, their intensity diminishes. The Columbia system is designed to access as much direct sunlight with as few bends as possible.

Flexible Sun Tubes (FST)

8 feet of flexible light pipe: Made from heavy duty, highly reflective aluminum duct. Columbia’s flexible light pipe is tear, puncture and fire resistant.

Diffuser: Sleek flat diffuser for smooth integrated, modern finish. The standard kit comes with a prismatic diffuser. A soft white diffuser is available for a less intense light.

Circular Roof Domes (CRD)

This design delivers a dramatic departure from the ordinary, opening your home or lobby/reception area to a light well affording a beautiful overhead pool of sunlight.

Columbia Circular Roof Domes are supplied with built in, non-condensating, double wall brown fiberglass curb and retaining frame. The built in curb measures six inches in height and includes wide flashing flange to ensure optimum seal.

Circular Roof Domes are intended for a sloped shingled roof application or tar and gravel roofs. The fiberglass curb can be modified to accommodate site built curb.

Roof Access Hatches (RAS)

Ideal for rooftop patios, emergency exits, roof and balcony access or any other application where roof egress is a requirement. This skylight can be installed on a flat or sloped roof curb application.
